Isaiah Mykal Gonzalez




Isaiah was a miracle even before he was born. He was

 diagnosed with Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, and 

Dextracardia. The doctors told me he would never survive 

my pregnancy and if he did he would never walk, talk, 

move or even see. But, when he was born he shocked 


the doctors. He weighed 5lbs. 13oz. and 17 1/4 in 

long..My little miracle... Isaiah was the first baby at 

Hermann Hospital to be born with all these problems and 

survive. 

He survived 2 months in the hospital and 5 surgeries. He 

also had 4 blood transfusions. After he was born the 

doctors found out he had many more problems than they

thought. They found he had Bronchio Trachia Malasia, 

Scoliosis, Arnold Chiari Malformation and cronic lung 

disease . 

When he came home he was on oxygen, heart and lung 

monitoring and a feeding tube. He had nurses, physical 

therapist and a nutritionist. Isaiah was a brave little boy 

who fought everyday and beat all the odds he had 


against him. After 2 weeks of being home he was eating 

from a bottle, and 3 months old he was eating baby 

food. He held his head up and rolled over at around 4 

months. He weighed around 7 lbs and still getting 

bigger. 


He was a awesome little boy with a wonderful spirit that 

always smiled and was always happy..He rarley cried 

unless he couldnt see or hear his Mommy. He was 

definatly a Mommy's boy. where-ever I went he was 

right there with me. 


Isaiah had many fun times with mommy and daddy..He 

went to Galveston and to Kemah. He loved visiting his 

Pa-Pa, Aunt Michelle, and his Aunt Me- Me, Uncle Daniel

and Aunt Amanda ,His Grandma  Lynette

helped take care of him, and  His Me-Maw always had  a

very special place in his heart.

Isaiah touched the hearts of every 

person that knew and loved him.

April 18,2006 was the worst day of my life. Every 

mothers worse nightmare! My precious lil' Isaiah stopped 

breathing suddenly and we didnt know why. My husband

and I did CPR but, nothing was working we callled 911 

and they took him to Conroe Regional Hospital. The 

paramedics told me he was stable and breathing(but, 

later found out that was never true). We got to the 

hospital and the doctor came in and told me "Sorry, 

there is nothing more I can do for him." I was in total 

shock and disbelief ..I couldn't believe that my lil'man was 

gone.How? Why? we had so many un-answered 

questions. We wanted an audtopsy done and we later 

found out he died from an infection in his intestines 

called "Sepsis". We had no idea he had this he was 

showing no signs or symptoms of this infection. Our

 precious lil'boy is now pain free and in Heaven with 

Jesus.
